at Cultus Lake Swilcha Community School.

What is a Community School -
A community school is a public school facility that functions as a neighborhood hub, remaining open for extended hours to offer a variety of programs and services for all age groups, including preschoolers, students, families, and adults. Through partnerships with local agencies and businesses, community schools provide integrated support, such as academic programs, health services, recreational activities, and adult education, to meet the specific needs of their surrounding community. This model aims to strengthen families, improve student learning, and foster a sense of community by maximizing the use of school facilities and fostering active resident participation.

This class is limited to 12 students Max. All children who express interest in the program will be considered and if there are more children interested, than spaces available, those who have not recently participated in an ASSAI free program will be given spots first.

Join us for a Free Class via Grant from the BC Alliance for Healthy Living for K-2nd graders! Over the course of 5 weeks, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, children will participate in the Active Play Club led by Pam Danis. program offers a unique opportunity for kids to engage unstructured play on their school grounds, encouraging exploration, creativity, and interaction. With light supervision, children can enjoy a fun and enriching environment that supports their physical, social, and emotional development.
